El Puerto in Wytdeville

I wanted good Mexican food but didnt get it. My meal was cold and unpleasant. My husband liked his meal. Our waiter gave us the bill before asking us if we wanted dessert. This is not a 4 star rated restaurant.

I loved their special dish Hawaiian chicken with onion and pobalo peppers on cast iron pan. It is huge dish. My husband had carntias and love it.

The ACC was very good it's served with vegetables which are tomatoes and yellow peppers

Fabulous service and the food was totally amazing

Very clean, everyone wearing masks, fast service, disposable menus and decent tasting food. Right off the interstates easy on and off and fairly priced. Oh, did I mention clean restrooms.

We were traveling from North to help take care of our grandson in the South. I knew of this quaint town and this was the 1st restaurant we were able to enjoy. Very good Mexican food, service was good and I noticed the owner assisting in all functions.

A great value. The food was excellent, the service was very good, the price is remarkably reasonable. We were just passing through and staying at the hotel, so it was likely our only time there, but I would not hesitate to go back.

This is the best Mexican food I've ever eaten! Everything we ordered was delicious, including the guacamole and salsa, which is made in-house.

Mediocre at best. The water tasted like it came from a garden hose. The asada with Verde sauce tasted of vinegar. The carnitas, while moist, was otherwise flavorless. The margarita was premixed and there did not seem to be any other choice but that or frozen...no better tequila option. Chips were fresh as was the salsa.

I can say this was by far the worst food I have ever had . To much salt , some just flavorless .

I wasn't expecting much in a small town like Wytheville, but this was pretty good Mexican. Very tasty enchiladas, a better quality refried beans and excellent service.

The burrito's as well as a Grande Margarita is my go-to meal. Always fast service and a friendly wait staff. Very consistent with every dish that I've had their. Love the chips and salsa.

Visiting the area and got food here. It was great service, quick, and the food is amazingly delicious. You absolutely must eat here if you're in the area and like Mexican food.

Quick, pleasant service, warm chips and generous portions. My husband and I shared the Texas fajitas and it was almost too much for us to eat (that rarely happens!) and was only $18.99. Hot and very tasty. We are on the patio but the service didn’t lag at all. We would definitely stop again. The only complaint was the salsa was bland.

I had the Viva Mexico. It's a spicy dish with pork and chicken in different sauces. Freaking delicious!!Their salsa for the chips needs more ingredients though.

This restaurant has average food. We ordered the Hawaiian Fajitas. They only give you two fajitas and are stingy with the sides served with the meal. Not worth a return visit in our opinions.

The atmosphere, prices and service was great. The food was kind of bland. If it hadn't been for the sauce served with the chips there wouldn't have been any flavor. It was my first time to a Mexican restaurant (I was always afraid it would be too spicy) so I expected more flavor from their food... other than tomato sauce.

The food was great and very reasonable. The staff was very nice. Service was excellent. We will definitely be going back.

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. Fairly busy, yet the service was good. Didn't have any of the problems other reviewers had with the service. Above average Mexican food for this part of the country, and very reasonably priced. The queso fundido was tasty, as were the tacos al pastor. The meat was a little bland, and the chips and salsa were underwhelming. Otherwise, a decent place to eat in general. One final note: a place that requires you to eat with your hands should offer more substantial napkins, or a napkin dispenser at the table. Some cholula sauce or similar hot sauce on the table would have been helpful as well.

Got there right before closing but was treat great like they were just opened. Would definitely go back when I am in the area

Stopped in here for dinner while on a road trip to Florida. Prices are great, food was fantastic, service was even better. Place was filled with locals, which is a good sign.

I got there JUST before the 6 p.m. rush on a Saturday night. Everyone was super friendly, and the service was nearly instantaneous. Food arrived very quickly, and it was hot and tasty! Fair prices, too! Highly recommend!

Food was great but they allowed some annoying yukelele players to go table to table playing and singing and requesting donations for I don't know what. We were kinda embarrassed into giving money but at least it shut them up. Horrible experience.

Great service and good food

I was really disappointed with our last visit. I wanted to take my husband out before a meeting we were going to. We usually have a good experience here. We were seated in the back and were FORGOTTEN. We had our chips and salsa, but nothing to drink. We were just getting ready to leave (after 25 minute wait) when the server came out. He was not told we were there. Ok. Usually the food comes out quickly. (We were still ok on time).oh no....not this night...another 25 minutes. we had to ask for boxes and our check so we could. I could understand if it was a busy night. This was a Tuesday and not busy..

Great food at reasonable prices. Some of the best Mexican I've had.
